My little boy has become incredibly fussy, turns his nose up at everything! It's been going on for several months and I'm going to have to put my foot down...the boy needs some real food! Any lunch/tea ideas.....any one have any experience with fussy eaters? Thanks :)

does he like strong flavours at all? DD seems to refuse bland food in favour of rich or spicy food.

Try letting him help make food if old enough. Home made pizza is usually good. Add gravy to food if he likes it. Maybe do a pick n mix of food. let him choose from it.

Get egg noodles add a herb stock cube ( I use knorrs herb stocks) , a splash of soy sauce, a little pepper and a spoon of tomato paste. DD loves these. When done add strips of omlette on top for protein. Think this was an annabel karmel recipe.

Oooh thanks LilQueenie! I'll def give the noodles a try! At the moment he's only eating plain food....plain old pasta or rice is his fav! I've managed to entice him with some beans on toast but that's about as flavoursome as it gets! He used to love a spicy curry.....grrrr its very frustrating!

how about eggy bread with cinammon. fruit kebab sticks, how about cheesy beans on toast maybe with a little paprika on top. If he eats that you can try it in a baked potato instead of toast.

Mmmm quite fancy eggy cinnamon bread myself! I did try a jacket potato but he was disgusted by it, lol! I'll give the cheese a go though!

If he likes crisps you can make your own adding paprika or pepper even to them. You can make them from sweet potato or veg. Just slice thinly and spritz with oil before laying on a baking tree. Remember to turn over.

you can also spirtz kale with oil and season with salt n pepper before putting it in the oven for a bi 10/15 mins. Comes out like crispy seaweed and tastes great as a snack. I often mix with garlic or use garlic salt.
