Dried apricots

My 5 year old loves dried apricots, she would eat an entire packet if we let her.

We currently restrict her to 2 a day, do you think that is ok, too many or we could let her have a few more?

To add she does suffer from constipation, so we hope this will help.

I would let her have more. Why not? Just make sure she cleans teeth well as they stick to teeth

Which ones do you buy? Some dried fruits are preserved with sulphur dioxide which you might not want her to eat too much of. .they are also full of sugar so I would only want my child to eat them at a meal time to be followed by cheese or teeth cleaning, they are not good as a grazing snack.

But they are delicious, and full of fibre so I have sympathies with her. Maybe tell her that you are only allowed to eat the same number as your age! She could count out 5 into a snack pot and know that that is her ration for the day - until she turns 6.
