Made a bit of a mistake with the mincemeat- can I rescue?

Wow, lengthy heading sorry!

I've had my fruit and veggie suet waiting in the pan for a couple of days to make mincemeat. Stupidity coupled with a child nagging me to help, meant that I stuck the blooming orange juice (instead of brandy) in the thing before I cooked it. Now instead of looking all gloopy and unhealthy, it looks like fruit wallowing in a lake of fatty liquid.

Is there any way to rescue it? I'm loathed to just throw it away. Could anybody help please?

Boil it off, then add the brandy, I expect is will taste delicious and you will never be able to recreate it ever.

Thanks elephantoverthehill, I didn't actually think of that I just had a little mini panic! I'll give it a whirl tomorrow- fingers crossed it'll taste ok.
