Got my gluten free sil coming for lunch tomorrow and I'm vegetarian, what can I make for lunch that's quick and easy and doesn't involve a trip to the shops to buy specialist gluten free thingys

Homemade soup with bread is one of my staples for lunch. Obviously you'd need gluten free bread for that!

Jacket potatoes with bean chilli and sour cream

A Girl called Jack's blog or cook book is my favourite for ideas- I've made several things from it that are from store-cupboard ingredients like bean burgers which had loads of cumin in and really good, and different soups.
(I never bother with gluten free breads anyway as there are loads of ideas using rice , potatoes, beans or lentils that are just as filling and less processed IMO )
If you have any apples I often make apple crumble with ground almonds or gluten free oats but you may not have those !
