Store cupboard staples

What staples do you have in your cupboards/freezer which you can rely on to make a healthy meal for your family?
I'm trying to be more organised but with shift work and generally running around, I struggle to come up with good meals if I haven't planned my weekly shop very well.
I feel I need to have a list of "essentials" which I can grab for main meals or lighter snacks for my 18 month old DD - I feel like I'm giving her the same thing all the time with no variety - any (easy) ideas appreciated!
