Leek and potato soup

I love leek and potato soup. I am pregnant and have a cold so I made some for a nice comforting lunch but it didn't really hit the spot.
I have tried several different recipes over the last few weeks but it never has much flavour.
Please share you best leek and potato recipe so I can make it to cheer myself up!

I add chopped up onion to mine. It just helps the leeks with flavouring.

Just made a big vat and carrot,garlic and thyme is a great improvement as is adding potato after blending. I might try using a baked potato next time.
