How to turn dinner into canapes?

Going to a party - need to bring a plate of food; boss heard me talking about curried meatloaf & asked me to bring that

But it's a bit naff - a meatloaf & some sauce

Could I put the mince in a buntin/caketin put a bit of cauilflower on top & drizzle over the sauce then serve hot?

Would it stay in one place or crumble?

Not sure I want to put a pastry base on it - any ideas?

Put it in a Yorkshire pudding?

That might work - I'd cook them separately & then assemble

good idea - thanks

I do mini poop domes with a dollop of mango chutney then a piece of chicken tikka, could you do similar with the meat loaf and lose the sauce? Or make into smaller balls and bake on wooden skewers or cocktail sticks with the sauce as a dip?

Mini poop domes are one hell of a canape!

oh balls - that might work too

I think it needs the sauce & cauli

Hmm I can see DH having it twice this week or three times

Just noticed my great auto correct poop domes aka popadoms

HolgerDanske · 09/10/2016 21:29

It was an awesome autocorrect!

Well they were tasty - but I think if I did them again I'd make the yorkshires smaller - they were a bit hefty Grin
