I'm an ok cook but I've just realised I have never made a pasta bake Blush apart from a jar.

Anyone got some nice recipes to share?

I like the one from HFW's 3Good Things.
Basically slice about 3 courgettes and cook gently in a pan until they start to go squishy. Add some chopped garlic and let it cook a bit longer. Mix with cooked pasta and a couple of balls of chopped mozzarella. Put it into a buttered over proof dish, top with grated parmesan and bake for 20-25 mins. It's very easy and delicious!

I like a chicken pasta bake made with something a bit like a chicken pie filling. This was actually discovered when I made too much filling once, and had some left over! You can use leftover roast chicken or just fry over some chunks.

Gently fry some onions until they are soft and sweet in plenty of butter, add flour to make a roux as if you were making cheese sauce. Then, instead of milk, use chicken stock (gorgeous with home made but still lovely with a cube!), whisking it in to the flour/butter/onions until you have a nice smooth creamy sauce. I add any combination of cooked carrots/peas/mushrooms, stir in cooked pasta and chicken, cover in grated cheese and bake!

Cook pasta (I normally use penne or rigatoni but any shape you have) and set aside. chop red onion, mushrooms and peppers and fry off along side crushed garlic and chopped bacon. Add a can of rinsed kidney beans, tomato purée, a can of chopped tomatoes, a good glue of balsamic and some Italian herbs. Season and slow to simmer on as low w a heat as pos for 15 mins. Mix in the cooked pasta and tip into an oven proof dish. Top with a mix of breadcrumbs, grated cheddar and mozerella. Bake for about 20 mins.
