Using a cake recipe for cupcakes

I want to use Nigella's chocolate Guinness cake recipe to make cupcakes. Does this work ok, as long as I reduce cooking time? I'm a bit of a clueless baker nowadays!

I've done it with carrot cake and it worked great! Just keep an eye on it.

I too can say that it works nicely, as long as you are careful and not leave it unattended!
