There's half a bottle of pinot grigio in the fridge that's been open for about a week. Is it OK to drink?

This has never happened to me before, not sure how it hasn't been drunk Hmm

if it's in a screw top bottle it should be fine WineSmile

It's screw top but the top wasn't on really tightly (this means DP must have put it on, it's a constant bone of contention that he doesn't do lids up tight enough)

Taste a bit. If it's gone it will be obvious.

happystory · 04/09/2016 19:41

It'll be fine. (There's never been a half bottle of wine in my fridge for a week mind you)

Taste it. You will soon know.

ProseccoBitch · 04/09/2016 19:43

I think it tastes OK but I've just eaten some chocolate buttons so was doubting myself. Thanks all Smile

I remember watching Nigella once and she had a great tip for using up leftover wine by freezing it in ice cube trays to later put in stews and stuff. I was 'what the fuck is leftover wine?'

LineyReborn · 04/09/2016 19:45

It's good for about 20 minutes here.

ProseccoBitch · 04/09/2016 19:45

JustDont yes I remember that and thought the same! Think it must have been hidden behind something else in the fridge!

Prosecco there is no better feeling than finding unexpected wine.

Love the idea of freezing leftover wine.
I only use red for cooking, so this would suit me and mean I don't have to use half a bottle.
