Lunch ideas for when you have visitors

I'm looking for your 'go to' ideas for when you have lunchtime visitors. In this case it's my friend and her two non-fussy older children (10 & 13).
We've recently moved and have more space now to invite people over but I'm a bit out of practice and ideas. I normally just do pizzas but it's getting a bit boring.
Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

I often to choose your own filling paninis with salad and crisps.

Soup with nice bread usually goes down well too.

I like fried / grilled halloumi served with toasted pitta bread. Serve with some dips and salad. Only takes a few minutes to put together as well.
