Christmas homemade alcohol

there's great bargains in my local shop for berries at the moment, raspberries,strawberries , blueberries and naturally i thought to myself well hey if I throw them into a bottle of gin or vodka ,I'll have my own Christmas fruity drink ready or else it'll be gone green mouldy by Christmas...
Please share recipes or tell me it's too soon to start making alcohol berries even more delicious

Stab fruit well, fill a wide neck bottle about one third full of fruit, add three tablespoons of sugar and gin, vodka, light rum whatever. Shake it everyday for a few weeks, strain the fruit out, freeze fruit for chistmas cake drink alcohol.
If using stoned fruit like cherries, stone them first.
Gooseberry vodka is superb.

Pestilence, wonderful! gooseberry eh?haven't tried it but it's on the list now!

Soused gooseberries in the christmas cake are also pretty amazing.
