I need a recipe that involves runner beans

Because I have a mountain of them from the garden that I can't cook quick enough.

I also have a broken oven, so needs to be something I can cook on the hob.

I had broad beans coming out of my ears last week which I made a chorizo stew out of, and a stir fry. I've run out of ideas for the runner beans now.

Any ideas?

Meanwhile, I'm about to tuck into a Gu chocolate pudding because I've eaten more than enough greens this week Grin

I use a Hugh F-W recipe which is very simple and delicious, you just sauté two finely chopped cloves of garlic in butter (sometimes i use olive oil depending on what it's going to accompany) in a lidded saucepan for a minute or so, throw in the sliced and rinsed runners, pinch of salt, clap the lid on and leave it to steam gently for about 10 minutes. They come out beautifully tender and sweet.
I also toss cooked runner beans in a quick sauce made of finely chopped shallot and garlic with two or three skinned and chopped tomatoes, cooked till pulpy. Add the runner beans just for a minute to heat them through.
Thry can also go into middle eastern type tomato-y stews with diced lamb, finish with a few black olives and serve with rice or burghul. Yoghurt on the side.
Finally -- they're great in piccallili.
