it;s bloody lovely naily, that's what it is

HuwEdwards · 26/01/2007 16:18

commonly used as a dip with crudites. It's often used to offset a spicy dish.

nailpolish · 26/01/2007 16:20

ok, i can make my own? and what can i serve this with?

OP posts:
Twiglett · 26/01/2007 16:23

you can make it

Tzatziki
1 medium cucumber
250g thick Greek yoghurt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon vinegar
2 cloves garlic, crushed
I tablespoon chopped dill or mint
Salt and pepper to taste

Serves: 4 People

Peel the cucumber and either finely chop or grate, after discarding the seeds, which can make the tzatziki watery. Combine the cucumber with all the rest of the ingredients and chill for an hour to allow the flavours to blend. Sprinkle with some chopped dill or a few leaves of mint and a drizzle of olive oil. Serve with warm pitta bread or in traditional Greek fashion, with freshly fried slices of courgette and aubergine.

or buy it in a pot

its ok .. I don't think its strong enough for pitta personally .. nice with crudites .. nice with blinis too

nailpolish · 26/01/2007 16:25

im not a fan of pitta bread

thanks twig

off to sainsburys tonight
