For when you've had a big breakfast/going to have a big supper/no ones all that hungry/can't be bothered etc? I'm stuck in a real rut.

Mine generally are courgette carbonara or something pasta based, tomato sauce, pesto from the freezer etc. Baked sweet or normal potato with cheese on top and veg on the side. Hummus and pitta and veg.

We just tend to have sarnies/ toasters/panini/soup/cheeseand crAckers etc
All the things you have mentioned are what we would have for our evening meal!

Cheese sandwich, perhaps toasted if I'm feeling adventurous.

Pasta or baked potatoes are saved for hungry lunches here, definitely not following a big brekkie, anyway that's not the point!
Tinned toms or a poached egg on toast.
Tuna/chicken salad or wrap
Bagel and cream cheese
Slice of fritata and salad.
Actually most of my lunches are salad based.

Same here, we wouldn't have pasta or baked potatoes as a light would be more like:

  • some nice rolls/bread from the bakers (or the bakery bit in Co-Op) with some sort of filling like ham/tuna mayo
  • quiche and salady bits

-charcuterie bits (parma ham, chorizo, salami etc) with salady bits

In the winter we might have soup and a sandwich ...

I wouldn't have potatoes/pasta as light. All of my light option are bread based. Strange how everyone's perception is different.

Eggs and soldiers.
Tomato soup
Beans and toast
Scrambled egg on toast
Eggy bread
Eggy bread with cheese and ham
Bread, crackers cheese.

Fishfinger sandwiches

If having a proper tea/dinner, I wouldn't generally have pasta or baked potatoes for lunch.

Pitta bread, carrot and cucumber sticks, hoummus or tsatziki
Omelettes (tortilla if leftover potatoes available)
Heinz tomato soup
Cheese and crackers, or oatcakes
The most I'd do in terms of actual cooking is something like mushrooms on toast, or eggs on toast.

And yes to eggy bread.
