Can frozen chicken go in the slow cooker?

I seem to get varied responses on this.

My mam gave me a huge lecture about it but then a colleague said "yeah I chuck frozen lemon chicken mix in mine all the time."

Unsure whether to do it or not. I have a lot of chicken in the freezer and want to use some up today.

Thanks!

I wouldn't but I do defrost in the microwave

I put frozen meat in all the time - always on low though.

Never had a problem

I do it all the time, just takes a bit longer to cook.

How often on average would you cook it for? Like 8 hours +?

No, it's not recommended that you put frozen meat in it. It doesn't get hot quick enough (it is a slow cooker) and stays in the danger zone for too long.

Ughghgh no don't do it. Beef might be ok but not chicken.
