Stir Fry - Why do my noodles clump?

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong with my noodles?

I normally boil medium egg noodles in one saucepan, drain and them tip into my wok to mix with my veg/meat/sauce.

Every time I end up with a clump of noodles in the middle that I can't get anything into. It's like a big knotted ball of wool.

I have tried the following already - snipping the noodles with kitchen scissors, adding in portions rather than a clump, tossing with sesame oil and giving up and ordering a perfectly blended chow mien from the Chinese down the road.

Where am I going wrong? Confused

it's the starch in the noodles - it makes them stick together - so what you need to do is drain them, rinse them with COLD water and give them another really good drain then toss in sesame oil
The noodles then get re-heated when you add them to your other ingredients in the wok
