Choc topping, what can I use that I already have?

I'd like to make a softish chocolate topping to go on a cake, and forgot to get the usual ingredients for ganache. It's raining hard and the kids don't want to go shopping...In the house, I have: Cadbury milk chocolate, butter, golden syrup, icing sugar....but no cream or cocoa powder. Can I combine any of the things I've got to make the chocolate softer?

melt the butter and golden syrup and chocolate together. Sift some icing sugar in, beat well and then add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat again, and add milk to loosen the mix

Any particular quantities, or shall I just go by 'feel'?
Thanks gatekeeper!

just go by feel. Perhaps make it slightly softer than you think is right as it will harden slightly

I make this as an icing and also make it runny without the icing sugar (in small quantities) for drizzling over vanilla ice cream. I never measure anything and it hasn't turned out bad yet
