Can it still be eaten if it was defrosted (in fridge) 36 hrs ago or should I bin it? Sorry, novice cook here!

I would, just heat it up thoroughly so it's boiling.

No! Bin now! Tomato dishes can grow some really nasty toxic bugs!

Yes eat.
Defrosting in fridge it would have still been frozen the first 12 hrs of that. So it's only two days old

If it is still in the fridge you could eat it tomorrow, easily. I would.

No it was put in fridge (straight from freezer) at midnight on Tuesday so was fully defrosted for dinner on Wednesday evening. I was going to give it to my kids for lunch today but by then it'll be 36 hours defrosted.

I'd give it to my kids.

ChickyDuck · 27/05/2016 08:52

I definitely would serve it. It's been fridge temp or colder the whole time. Just make sure it's piping hot all the way through before its eaten, the same as with any other reheated food Smile

Great......was thinking it'd be ok but thought I'd double check first as I'm not a great cook! Boiling hot and leave it to cool........got it! Ta Smile
