Expensive cherry tomatoes - your opinion

Supermarkets now sell el cheapo bog standard cherry tomatoes, and expensive cherry tomatoes still attached to a bit of twig.

I was wondering how many mumsnetters bother to buy the expensive ones and whether you can really tell the difference in taste.

Do people like the smell of the vine?!?!?! It smells like weedkiller and nasty.

I like my cherry tomatoes cheap, plentiful and from the fridge.

IOW ones from Ocado are the dogs.

Best ones are home grown Sungold , but we are always away in August
