Best way to reheat chicken pie?

I made a chicken pie (chicken, veg, gravy, puff pastry top) a week or so ago, and froze the leftovers. Took it out of the freer last night so me and DD can have it for dinner tonight. But how should I heat it? In the oven or the microwave?? Will the microwave make the pastry soggy?

I reheat mine in the oven. I don't have one so don't know for sure but yes I think a microwave would make the pastry soggy.

For future if I am making enough to freeze I only use what pastry I need so I then only need to reheat the filling and put the "new" pastry on top to cook

I think I might take the pastry off put that in the oven to warm through and stay crispy, then reheat the filling in a separate casserole dish with a lid on....I'm really looking forward to it, so don't want to ruin it!!!

Good idea, I would do that. The pastry won't take much time to warm up. Homemade chicken pie is yummy! Grin
