I made tiramisu!
An achievement on its own i think, but as a bonus it turned out absolutely amazing!

I love tiramisu and sticking some biscuits and mascarpone together doesn't do it for me, so decided to try the italian way of making a zabaglione first (plus i learned a new wordSmile).
That's basically cooking the egg yolks over double boiler and whisking them. Them mascarpone and double cream with some sherry.
Added coffee liquor too and baked my own ladyfingers (sounds like boasting... And it isSmile)

I can share the recipe if anyone is interested
(Can't be asked to type it up now on my phone, plus don't know if anyone cares)

Basically used this recipe, but altered the quantities a bit

5egg yolks (xtra large eggs)
70g sugar (only because I didn't have more, but it really didn't need more)
250g mascarpone
250ml double cream
3tbsp sherry (added just before folding in the double cream)

Used 1cup strong coffee + 1/2 cup Patrone coffee liqueur (it's amazing Wink) for dipping the ladyfingers in

I also starting whisking the eggs with a hand whisk whilst on the double boiler, then continued with an electric one after.

I make an "alternative" one if you don't like coffee...limoncello (sp?) and white chocolate shavings!
