Failed with my Spiraliser now what do I do with all these bloody courgettes?

So bought a Spiraliser, it worked with carrots but was a total disaster with courgettes and cut my finger into the bargain?

So what do you great cooks think I should do with one and a half wapping great courgettes now...?

Cut in half, cover in a sprinkle of paprika and smother in cheese. Bake for about 20 minutes.

I use a potato peeler to make courgette tagliatelle. Just peel down the side of the courgette and sauté them in a little olive oil and lemon juice.

Same as Pnut
Use potato peeler to add to stir fry oradd to bolignaise or lasagne

Cheese and Courgette muffins are quick and delicious.

Zucchini slice
Chocolate cake
Grate and add to any mince dish
Roast/oven bake
Shave with vegie peeler and use for courgetti

Thanks for all the interesting suggestions, lots to try.

Think I will stick to buying ready made Spiralised courgettes from .M&S in future! ( for the sake of my fingers...) Smile

Slice courgettes, tomatoes and onions. Layer in a buttered dish with sliced or chopped garlic and butter pats dotted through out.

Then either cling film and microwave for 2-3 minutes, or cover in foil and bake in a moderate oven for 25 minutes. Lovely!

You can add grated cheese or parmesan as an option but all is good.

This Carluccio's recipe is lovely (if you don't bother with the spinach balls it's a quick and simple meal)

Courgette "bread" (cake)

Destinysdaughter · 17/04/2016 20:40

It didn't work as they kept disintegrating and breaking. The ones I did make were really short. Worked fine on carrots tho as they are harder.

( and I hurt my finger ) Sad

Grate, squeeze out excess moisture and use to make courgette pancakes, with a bit of added nutmeg. Nice with a poached egg on top.

Courgette fries! Slice into chip like shapes dip in egg then in breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan and bake, so good
