What food would you give to a toddler (3) with slight constipation???

i will probley get shooted down and stoned for this but chocolate!

When my ds has a lot ( i mean adult size bar - not big big bar) - i can guarantee him going in the next 24 hours.

This works for us !

lots of fruit and drinks and cut down on the carbs for a while (but only cos I know they don't help ds's constipation)

Poor thing.
Luke warm water to drink, and if s/he doesnt drink water, very diluted fruit juice.

The things that used to get my dd going were prunes, pineapple, kiwi fruit, and courgette (not necessarily together!). Plus plenty of water.

I also heard it's not best to go OTT with fruit. Stick to small amounts of milder ones, apples and pears rather than citrus which may upset a tummy which is already tender.

some may say no but give her/him a curry a mild one with plenty of veg and chickpeas and one glass of undiluted or slightly diluted orange or apple juice wont do any harm at three

apple juice
one of those innocent smoothie drinks
both of these work well for mine who have terrible constipation
pureed fruit in their weetabix
hold back on yoghurt, bananas, white bread.
