unusual baking ingredients - cookbook recommendation please

My DH has started baking using unusual ingredients (tomato soup cake, coca cola cake, etc). Usually cakes he can take to work to share.
I'd like to get him a cook book as a gift for our wedding anniversary - any recommendations?

A book called Culinary Reactions by Simon Field might be a place to start. Once DH understands the chemistry of food it might inspire him to cook off piste, as it were. This sort of thing appeals to chaps IME.
