PLease!!!!!!

He's being a pickle atm regarding food so I need fingerfood for lunches that he'll enjoy.

So far have got:

Tuna, sweetcorn and pasta (in a bowl for him to pick at)
Raspberries
Bananas
other fruits like kiwi/apple
Pitta bread/bread with guacamole/humous/cottage cheese.
Pieces of chedder.
Raisons

Obviously not for 1 day, but for over the week.

But doesn't seem like much of a variety. Any glaringly obvious things not on the list?

Cold omlette, sliced up or chumks of hard boiled egg.

Blueberries.

Oatcakes.

PanicPants · 07/01/2007 12:45

Can you buy oatcakes?

Yes we do have blueberries and blackberries, but ds refuses these in favour of raspberries!
But will eat them when he realises the raspberries aren't forthcoming

  • Rice cakes
  • Crackers or Ryvita with guacamole etc which you mentioned
-Pieces of cooked chicken (leg meat isn't as dry) or other meats -Grapes (I cut ds's in half otherwise he rolls them around on the tray all day rather than eating them!) -Babybel (expensive I know, but gives a bit of variety) -Slices of leftover pizza (if you make your own then you can control fat/salt content) -Chunks of potato or potato salad -Beans or chickpeas -Mashed potatoes mixed with grated cheese rolled into balls. (Maybe they could be frozen, not sure, never tried) or come to think of it, mashed potatoes mixed with all sorts of things!

Erm, can't think of any more just now. Perhaps you should check out the baby led weaning website for other ideas

how about some nice patties made of grated sweet potato and other veg. tasty and perhaps you could slip a few lentils in 'em. particularly good with a tasty tangy tomato dipping sauce.

Breads: Pita baked until crisp with dips/hummus/Pita filled, Tortilla filled, rolled tightly and sliced (lettuce and avocado nice), cheese toasties, toastie pies filled, cooked and chopped smaller, pretzel or bread sticks.

Protein: Little meatballs and sauce to dip, cubes of cheese (put in pottle with pineapple chunks yum), yoghurt, cold cuts, bean salad, dahl, felafel patties and sauce,

Fruit/Vege: Fruit salad in pottle, fruit smoothy, corn or vege fritter, savoury cheese and onion muffin, cold corn on the cob (ds' favourite) slices cucumber,
