White crystal like stuff in home made marmalade. What could it be?

I hope it's ok because I really really want to eat the marmalade.

Pic attached hopefully. It's some marmalade I bought yesterday. Have had several jars of jam and one of this previously and all tasted delicious. It's deep in the marmalade not on top. I've got a couple of bits out and they're not slimy or crunchy, no obvious. Is it something that didn't dissolve?

Hungrily hopful.

The most likely thing is sugar

Thanks, am eating it and prepared to take the consequences. I'm quite happy to eat bread with a bit of mould so sure I'll survive. It does look like something didn't quite dissolve rather than something growing.

I think it's natural discoloration in the pith. I have had that happen to some my marmalade too.
