Best fruit cake/fruit loaf recipe?

DS loves fruit cake/fruit loaf and I have a load of dried fruit left from Christmas - can you recommend a recipe?

I use this one weekly for our family fruit cake

Thank you - i'll have a look. I recently tried levi roots ginger cake which just ended up dense and soggy and this tea loaf which ended up rock hard!

The cake is really good.

I used Fig jam instead of marmalade. Really good with custard too!

have made all sorts of variations using different teas and then altering the fruit/spices

it says overnight soaking, but I've done it on the day with a couple of hours

makes lovely fruit toast too!

Hi! I know this is an old thread, but can I check - do you get this to fit all in 1 x 900 g (2lb) tin? I was looking at the Mary Berry tea loaf recipe and this seems quite a lot more batter?
