Monkfish on the bone -to roast whole or fillet first?

First world problems eh? Got a nice bit of monkfish tail as my wee treat for DS and I as we're on our own tonight. Planning to wrap in Parma ham and roast, just can't decide if roasting bone in or out would be better. Any sage advice? Bone in means I can just shove it in the oven so am tempted......
