Have just realised have 3 litres of milk that needs used up today before goes out of date - any suggestions for recipes - so far have only come up with custard!
Thanks

cheese sauce !

rice pudding?

Ice cream (there are some recipes that don't need an ice cream maker).

Batches of cheese sauce or a plain white sauce to go in freezer?

you can freeze the milk and use it when you run out too

crepes with lemon and sugar or nutella. Also freeze very very well and can be used for savoury meals (cheese and bacon)or dressed up with ice cream, maple syrup, crepes suzettes etc

Mmmmmmm

Angel Delight? Not all that healthy, I know, but the kids love it for an occasional treat!

mawbroon · 04/01/2007 22:11

I would freeze it, just making sure that there was room in the bottle for expansion.
fedda, if the food is still in date, it stands to reason that it could have just as easily been purchased today! I reckon that it wouldn't make any odds as to whether it was 3 days in the shop fridge or 3 days in your own. Maybe that's just me though....
