sponge cake not using sandwich tins - baking time?

(also posted on food/recipe before realising this topic existed)
normally i bake in my sandwich tins for about 20 mins. how much time do you reckon it would take to bake in a normal tin (then cutting in two to sandwich)?

I always cook my cakes like that as then you get a flat middle for the filling, I normally cook them for about 45 minutes but everyone's oven is different so just keep checking with a knife after about 35 maybe? Leave if to cook before you cut it as well otherwise it all falls to pieces.

Yes, 180 (i cook everything on 180 as I am too lazy to check oven temps - probably not the best idea though Grin)
