silverside for steak pie?

I have some pastry to be used up so wanted to make some steak pie. I only have a silverside joint though. Could I just roast it to medium, chop it into chunks and bung it into the slow cooker on low all day with some stock for the filling? Would it be tender?

Just bung it in the slow cooker as it is, with your veg and stock and stock or beer or wine and whatever else you fancy. It'll just pull to pieces when it's done. Pie filling all ready!

Ok perfect, thanks!
