Can you make breaded mushrooms that bake in the oven?

I haven't got a deep fat frier and I don't particulary want to stand frizzling them in a pan and stinking the house out!! I wanted to buy some frozen ones that you can just bake then dip in onion and garlic dip but they didn't have any in my bl**dy useless tesco. I thought I'd make my own but all the recipes are for frying, Can anyone help?

give it a go... im sure you cant poisen yourself, I think mushrooms cook from raw in an oven?

Sadly no, because of the aforementioned barfing by baby son we are no longer going to the party we were supposed to be so I was going to cook something nice for me and dh. Of course now we've phoned everyone and cancelled ds is full of beans...
