What to do with lidl German sausage?

So DS went shopping yesterday with dh and bought one of those u shaped sausage things.
Being a vegetarian, I've never cooked with one of these before. I can improvise with pasta but what else doe this go with?

Fry a red onion with some garlic until soft then add the sausage cut into chunks and fry for 5mins, then stir in a can of chopped tomatoes, 1/2 can water, one can of white beans - simmer for 20mins and serve
