Accidentally left frozen smoked salmon on side overnight

Hi

That's it really. Took it out of freezer 5pm yesterday to defrost. Forgot to put in the fridge. Saw it on the side at 5:30am this morning and out in fridge.

Is it safe for me and 3 yr old to eat?

If it wasn't frozen I'd throw but it was defrosting so I feel it could be OK. Erm any fishmongers on here per chance?

I wouldn't give it a second thought unless you keep your house hot overnight it'll be fine surely. Don't throw perfectly good food away.

SpuriouserAndSpuriouser · 19/02/2016 10:44

If you are planning on eating it today it should be fine.

Thanks all - that was my initial thought but then started to get paranoid. Oh well guess I'll have to eat it all today. And all of the cream cheese too.

Smoking is a way to preserve food, so I would eat it all!

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 19/02/2016 14:44

i'd eat it for sure!
