Anyone got an easy recipe for cream of tomato soup, pref with tinned tomatos?

Sorry but that recipe looks rank.
To make cream of tom soup you fry onions in butter, add a tablespoon of flour and cook it out a bit then add a couple of spoons of tomato paste and cook that for a few mins stirring, then a tin of tomatoes and some stock, add salt pepper and a pinch of sugar and some basil if you have it.
puree it all and add milk or cream. taste and season and serve.

rrofl I thought it looked rank too but was all I couold find in the time I had befroe dd2 caused havoc and I wanted answer the OP cause noone had and thought that it would at least act as a bump

I can make leek and potato soup but I wouldn't feel knowledgable enough to tell someone a recipe

well its been a bit improvised.

I roasted some red peppers, onion and celery in olive oil.

Pureed two pins of tomatoes, blized them all together, added some water and veggie stock - added lentils - a bay leaf and simmered for an hour...

..should I add a cup of milk?

Sounds yummy.

I usually add a slug of tabasco & some creme fraiche or a small tin evaporated milk to get the creaminess.
