Alternatives to jam to stick marzipan to cake??

Help I have set tonight aside to ice my cake but have no apricot jam - would honey work do you think?? It's too foggy and icy to get the car out just for that. Any ideas ladies?? Thanks in advance!

We've not used anything and our cake is fine! We just wet the marzipan a bit on top to make sure the icing stuck to it.

honey in a bit of hot water, maple syrup, golden syrup, marmalade (pick the bits out) or, as Indith suggests, nothing at all if your cake is moist enough...
