Thanks

Ooh! I've never heard of it! And I'm a baker by trade. How is it used - would vanilla sugar work instead? You can get that in sainsburys.

I am making some biscuits for a vegan and it's in a Deliciously Ella recipe? Thanks for the tip on the sugar though?

it's just powdered dried vanilla pods isn't it? so not sure if vanilla sugar would work. Try Holland and Barratt perhaps? You could use vanilla paste or liquid extract instead if you struggle to find it.

Waitrose and Sainsburys both stock it in my town.

Yes waitrose in my town have it, with all the baking stuff.

I've just realised this thread has vegan, vanilla powder, Waitrose and Deliciously Ella in it.

The only way we can make it more middle class is to throw in quinoa Grin

As yes but I let the side down as after serving the vegan treats and non-vegan teabread I only had Utterly Butterly in the fridge or Lurpak with a reduced sticker on it. I went with the Utterly Butterly but can still feel my ears burning now !
