I could not resist a stalk of purple sprouts in the reduced section yesterday. They were so appealing.
But - now what

They are delicious shredded in a stir fry or mashed up in bubble and squeak. Or just blanch them and freeze in portions.

freeze is a good idea for later.

Is it just me that thinks an abundance of sprouts sounds like the correct collective noun, much like a bunch of carrots or a parliament of owls!?

I like to chop them in half, toss in some olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper then roast for 15-20 minutes.

Roasted are good as goodbyeyellowbrickroad says.

Shredded really does make them into a whole different veg - tey this - its yummy.
