What to make with a whole chicken?

I would usually produce a roast dinner but today we are all over the place and none of us will be in at the same time to eat.

I could just roast it and make some mash and veg which could be reheated but does anyone have any other ideas.

Pot-roast? Or joint it and make a stew? Poach it, shred off the meat and have... Well, anything: salad, chicken noodle soup, sandwiches?

Or save the cooked chicken for the week and have something else entirely.

Roast with garlic and serve hot or x cold with bread and salad
