What to do when you already freeze unsuitable lobsters?

Could you pls advise?

I bought two cooked lobsters from a supermarket and put them in the freeze three days ago. This morning I took them out. Only then did I read the instruction, which said the cooked lobsters are not suitable for home freezing.

Is there anything I can do or do I have to stop eating these?

Not sure to be honest - I'm generally if it looks ok and tastes ok then eat it but have not done this with a lobster. Hopefully someone else will come along with their advice.

Just googled and found some advice from an American site. seems like the main downside to re freezing is to the texture of the meat rather than it making you sick. Just make sure you eat it all straight away a nd don't have leftovers.

Odd. Cooked lobster freezes really well. Maybe it has been frozen before. I always assume that is why some foods are marked as not suitable!

I'd eat it. But then I'm not ill, pregnant etc. If it was kept well chilled then it would just be the texture that suffers from a second freezing.

The myths about defrosting and re freezing are really strong and very hard to ignore, so nobody would blame you if you binned them!
