Can I make scones the night before and bake them in the morning

Just that really?
We're having a scones, jam and clotted cream extravaganza at work on Monday and I said I'd bring the scones.
They only take 10 mins to bake so I thought I could have them ready the evening before and then bake them in the oven.
Do you think that would work?
Should I put them in the fridge overnight or leave them out do you think?

yeah, they'll be all the better for chilling.

Perfect - that's what I'll do then.
have never made plain scones, only cheese ones, might have to do a practice batch.

If you want a really easy recipe, use 3 cups SR flour, 1 cup double (pouring) cream and 1 cup lemonade.

Mix together either with a knife or with a dough hook in your electric mixer. Don't over mix, then pat out to make scones and bake like usual.

Might be a bit quicker if you want to make and bake same day.

Thanks KP I'll try that sometime but already have ingredients for a different recipe.
