Wine for dinner party

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good selection of red, white and rose wine for a dinner party. I don't want anything too expensive but tastes good for the guests too. I really would be grateful for your advice as don't know much about wines

What's not too expensive?

Best bet is about £8-10 a bottle and avoid big 3 supermarket wine like the plague. M&S and Waitrose usually have a good selection in that price range.
