Morning, I'd like to save a few pennies on Christmas treats this year, what's good food/drink wise from Aldi? Thanks.

Raspberry roulade from the frozen deserts is absolutely lovely!

The mini mince pies and stolen bites are lovely. The wine is always good, I don't drink the other stuff but looks like a good selection. The freezers for special Xmas food are generally good, though their 3 bird roast was v salty last year. I never buy my chocolate anywhere else, but it does depend on taste - I prefer the v dark German chocolate. Their sausages are also v good - I think you can buy most stuff as long as you don't mind having little choice/ avoiding brands.

Stollen bites are yummy! Their exquisite collection wine is good. I've been drinking the Australian Riesling which at £6.99 is very good. Reviews of all are good. They've got a Muscadet (dry) reduced to around £3 something in my local one.

I do like stollen and mince pies! Worth a try then.
