Edamames in place of garden peas?

It's raining, it's cold, and I don't want to go out to the shop again. AIBU to use some frozen edamame in place of garden peas for my Cajun chicken and rice dish this evening? Can't figure out if that would be weird.

Ooh CowPat where do frozen edamame come from? Love them but not seen any!

Birds Eye do them tappity - just called soya beans rather than edemame :)
I'm guessing a few of the supermarkets may do their own brands too.
