I've got a Sainsbury's voucher for these, any good? Never heard of them before.

Its a pastry casing filled with dried fruit and dried cherries and a sort of treacly binding sauce. There delicious if you've got a sweet tooth. Its an excellent alternative to mince pies.

They sound nice, like you say, make a change from mince pies. The name made me chuckle.

They are lovely, if you like mince pie type things.

The voucher is for 120 nectar points, that's 60p off I think, if you buy 2 taste the difference mince pies or ecclefechan tarts. They're £2.50 each or 2 for £4. It's valid until 24 dec, so I might give them a whirl. The normal mince pies are only a £1 though. Just had a look, the bakery ones are 2 for £1.50 for a 4 pack, arrrgg, too many choices. Cake [santa]
