Which slow cooker to get?

PIL are offering to buy us a slow cooker for Christmas. We've not had one before but use our pressure cooker lots. Any suggestions for what we need or any particular makes/models? As everyone on MN seems to have one so I thought this would be the best place to ask for recommendations .

I think budget is around £30/40 maybe up to £50.

I have this one but you can get it a lot cheaper also comes in 4.5 and 6ltr size. i have the 4.5 and can get a whole chicken in it. Because the pan is metal it will also go on the stove and there is a sear 15 minute setting to brown onions and meat before hand.
