Pulled....Gammon?!

I accidentally ordered gammon rather than pork in our shop. Its a joint of about 1.5kgs.

Can I still make pulled pork but with gammon or is the meat too tough for this? If I can, how would I go about this - Does it need longer/lower heat cooking?

Alternatively, if I cant, what recipe can I use with it? Thanks

Slow cooker for the gammon, so bring to the boil in freash water on the job, then rub in brown sugar and mustard into scored fat, and cook on low for 6-8 hrs.

Other people swear on gammon in coke. Never tried it tho.

I'd take off the skin and fat personally. I made a bbq pulled gammon and also brought it to the boil a couple of times to get rid of some of the salt.

GreenSand Can I just soak it overnight? And then with your recipe, I just put the gammon in the slow cooker ojn it's own, lid on, job done?

ggirl and Dollyemi Recipe if you have it please :)

I would think so, but add some time to the cooking, as boiling first starts heating it. Then, Yes!
