No, bin it

wickedwaterwitch · 08/11/2015 13:06

Doe it smell ok? If so, I would eat it, it's only 3 days

Imnotaslimjim · 08/11/2015 13:06

I'm pretty free and easy about these things but I would bin that

"Does it smell ok? If so, I would eat it, it's only 3 days"

The problem with relying on the sniff test is that it only smells bad if there is bacterial spoilage. If, however, toxins have developed you can't always smell if the chicken is safe to eat.

I would bin it.

As long as you have no plans to move far away from the bathroom over the next 3 days you could give it a go. I would definitely bin it.

Wolfiefan · 08/11/2015 13:51

No. Best before dates are for stores to rotate their stock but use by on meat is just that. Use it by the date or suffer the consequences!

Anastasie · 08/11/2015 13:52

I think you should make it into a nice curry to disguise the taste, then take it round to your neighbour and watch them suffer Smile

Etak15 · 08/11/2015 13:55

I would eat it today or tomorrow, I think it's not fresh enough to freeze.

Yesterday I roasted a chicken a week past the best before date.

Still standing...
