Need 2 x 3 course dinner menus and have complete mental block

Visitors over the weekend - we're going out one night, hurrah, but I need 2 x 3 course menus.

I like cooking, but don't want anything too complicated. The weather is crap so want something cheering and warming, possibly seasonal.

Visitors are not fussy, although one doesn't like anything too hot (chilli hot).

The only other thing is I never feel soup is a satisfactory starter for a special dinner.

Any ideas?

special both days? I'm assuming no vegetarians

antipasti/olives (from deli section) with warm ciabatta
roast lamb or pork(italian style maybe)
baked cheesecake - from waitress or m & s so a nice one ready made with berries

smoked salmon and brown bread
casserole - coq au vin or beef in red wine?
french pear or apple tart - again buy it - served warm with good vanilla ice-cream e.g. green and blacks

you only have to cook main course and could use slow cooker for casserole

Homemade Pate and toast
Sea bass with a burnt butter sauce and steamed veg

Homemade squash and sage ravioli
Chicken stuffed with Sundried tomato wrapped in Parma ham

Roast Pumpkin salad
Slow cooked guinea fowl with a port sauce

pate
luxury fish pie
panacotta and berries

griddled asparagus with parmesan
warm lamb salad with pomegranites ( Nigella recipe is great)
bread and butter pudding

See, I knew you'd sort it!

Think we'll have the following:

Pear, pecan and rocket salad with shaved parmesan, honey mustard dressing and fig/walnut bread
Beef casserole (or maybe cobbler) with green beans and either mash or dauphinoise
Tarte tatin and vanilla ice cream

Smoked salmon, horseradish cream, lemon and brown bread and butter - may get potted shrimps for DH because he doesn't like smoked salmon.
Chicken with sundried tomatoes and parma ham, roast baby potatoes and salad - Ongas, do you have a recipe you use for this?
Bread and butter pud with cream.

I'm salivating already.............
